5.

Our girl is five.
I can hardly believe it.

After Finding Nemo (age 2) and Cars (age 3), she finally picked a “girly” movie to settle on as her favorite for the year.

Tangled.  If I had to pick one, I’d say that’s a good one.  Can’t wait to talk to her about this movie when she’s a little older, about learning your identity and what you’re designed for, and how to embrace that.  Her name means “Noble, Pure One,” so we pray every night that she would grow into a woman who lives up to that.

Anyway…

Our basic format for parties is: lunch, cake, pool and water games in the backyard and friends.

This year pool turned into sandbox, turned into mud pies, turned into total fun.  No gifts please – just give our daughter water and dirt and she’ll be completely happy.

I LOVE this girl.  I’m so proud of her.  I can’t believe she’s 5 and she’s starting school in just over a week.
Happy Birthday, sweetie!
