We made it. She went.
We were on time. There were no tears.
As we pulled into the school parking lot, she says, “It’s gonna be so fun!”
I drop her off in her class and she says, “Ms. Johnson, can I color a picture for you?”
I put her lunchbox in her cubbie. She says, “I love you mom,” *kiss* “Bye!”
And that was it.
She runs off to her table and sits down to color.
I leave with fussing 2-year old brother and don’t have time to cry.
And there you have it.
She’s off to school. One day down, 3,120 to go until college.
Her very first “assignment.”
Her face when I came to pick her up. Um… That makes it all worth it.
Girlfriends! All of us moms have worked together (or at the same place) at one time or another.
These three of the girls are in the same class. Future high school senior yearbook pic for sure.
